Common issues and solutions.

Expand an issue below to see the recommended next step from the guide.

“That pair code was not accepted”

The code may have expired. Fetch a fresh code from the terminal and try again immediately.

Username or password was not accepted

Check that the credentials are correct and belong to the selected environment. Sandbox credentials do not work in Production, and vice versa.

“The terminal is not logged on” (PF)

The terminal has not logged on to the bank yet. Wait a moment and try again. SPEEE POS logs the terminal on automatically before the first payment of the day.

The terminal was paired to a different till

A terminal can only be paired to one till at a time. Pair it again from this till to take it back.

Payments were working and have stopped

Check Providers. The Linkly card shows the current state and reason. Only one provider can be enabled at a time.

Where is card data stored?

Card numbers, PINs, and magnetic stripe data do not reach SPEEE POS. The software receives only the outcome, card scheme, and last four digits.

Security information

Payment data stays with the terminal and bank.

The terminal handles sensitive card information. SPEEE POS is told only the transaction outcome, card scheme, and last four digits.

  • Card numbers are not stored in SPEEE POS.
  • PIN data does not reach the software.
  • Magnetic stripe data does not reach the software.
  • Lost credentials should be replaced through Linkly.
